- The manuscript reads 'strate ƿald', but there is a double-dash above the 's' and another double-dash above the 'ƿ'; MSS 2 and 3 (L1036.3.01 and L1036.3.02) read 'ƿeald strete' and 'ƿeald stræte' respectively, so the double-dashes presumably indicate the misplacing of the words, which have here been transposed accordingly
